Venue

The conference venue is the illustrious building of the Regional Comittee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Pécs (in Hungarian: Magyar Tudományos Akadémia, Pécsi Akadémiai Bizottság – might be useful for transportation). The building is located in a hilly part of the city, around 3 kilometres from the railway station. You can take bus line 34Y which has a stop called “MTA Székház” to get there from the city centre. A timetable is available here in Hungarian, but Google Maps also contains the schedule.

Accomodation

A limited number of rooms are available on-site at the Regional Committee’s building. For more information, see this website. To book a room, you need to fill out the form, which is unfortunately only available in Hungarian. Let us know if you need help or contact the secretariat directly at titkarsag.pab@tab.mta.hu.

The City

Pécs is a vibrant historical city with plenty to see. As the most important tourist destination of the region and a truly international university city, plenty of information is available for visitors, and English should cause no problem.
